BREAKING: Vance Boelter Arrested in Minnesota Lawmaker Assassination Case

AP is reporting that Vance Luther Boelter, 57, has been arrested in Belle Plaine, Minnesota, ending a nationwide manhunt. Boelter is accused of murdering former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband, and shooting State Senator John Hoffman and his wife in a politically motivated attack.

Authorities say Boelter disguised himself as a police officer and was armed at the time of arrest. A manifesto found in his vehicle listed dozens of political targets—including abortion rights advocates and Democratic lawmakers. FBI agents also recovered AK-style rifles and tactical gear.

The FBI had issued a $50,000 reward and listed Boelter among its Most Wanted. His arrest comes just days after his wife was detained with a weapon, cash, and passports in her car.

Boelter is expected to face multiple charges, including first-degree murder and attempted assassination of elected officials. More details to come.
