Thanks for sharing this, it’s good to understand what Trump’s reaction was to the event he asked for on June 14. It’s also good to see that the military have retained their sense of independence as well as their commitment to our Constitution and our people.

“Sources close to the White House say Trump was “pissed off at the soldiers” for appearing too upbeat, accusing them of “hamming it up” rather than projecting the intimidating presence he had demanded. He was reportedly angered by what he saw as a “festive and cheerful” tone, telling aides it failed to reflect his vision of military strength and discipline.”

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think this is that unusual for the military? At least for a domestic audience? In democracies, you don’t want civilians to be scared of their own military. Trump doesn’t like living in a democracy though. This is just more proof that the intention of this military parade was to scare the public.

The parade was not what he wanted. The soldiers were smiling. Hahaha.

I think it’s ok to be afraid. It’s Not ok to not speak up or protest or use the courts against him.

Trump needs to look in the mirror. Both he and ~his~ chosen Hegseth are remarkably poor examples of disciplined, principled leaders or even humans. Hegseth is neither a warrior or military commander, and Trump? He scores a perfect zero.

Of course he blames others. When doesn't he? The failure of his egocentric birthday flop,is owned purely by him. In his faltering mind, everything is about him. And the people will accept no more desecration fom him.

This parade was in honor of our countries 250th Anniversary of our US ARMY. I was in the last graduating class of the WACS ( Women's Army Corp ) in 1977. This parade was to all who served in the Army, But he wanted attention for himself. My heart goes out to all the military Corp, who expected to HONOR their service, and now each member understands that the leader of their country, used it as a ploy for HIS intention. And now call to question his means. When one is called to serve a narcissist leadership willing to use them as part of his game, there will come an underlying distrust of that leadership. When we signed up, we swore to the death, to protect above all else, to The Constitution , not a selfish dictatorship.

We love our military members. As they fought for our country, we marched for it's freedom.

INDEED.

Anyone who knows military protocol and marching cadence?, KNOWS the out of step marching and slovenly appearance was a clear signal that The US Army did not want to be there.

Simple and obvious.

I don’t know military protocol personally, but I’m sure you’re absolutely right. They didn’t want to be there. The whole thing was a complete waste and a disgrace to our military. He wanted a parade for himself.

I have read online, confirmed by some veterans, that the soldiers marching out of step(and they were) is a silent protest to being forced to do this.
